THIGH LIFT Columbus, Ohio
Thighplasty To Improve Confidence After Weight Loss
Loss of skin elasticity of the thigh, hip or buttock areas may occur after weight loss or with normal aging. Thigh lift surgery is a safe and effective procedure designed to help patients achieve firmer, more toned thighs while enhancing body proportions. Our thigh lift patients often rave about their increased confidence and comfort while wearing bikinis, skirts and shorts!

If the appearance of your lower body is a source of aesthetic concern, you may appreciate the tighter, more youthful contour of the inner thigh after this procedure. You may also be a candidate for this procedure if the skin of your inner thigh is saggy or has a dimpled appearance that improves when you lift it toward the groin.
After a personal consultation with a trusted member of our team, you will understand which techniques will be best to achieve your goals.
The Different Types Of Thigh Lifts:
- An inner thigh lift specifically addresses the laxity of the skin that extends from the inner thigh to the knee.
- A “mini thigh lift” is a solution for sagging in the upper portion of the legs.
- An outer thigh lift (sometimes referred to as a bilateral thigh lift) tightens up the skin on the front and outside of the leg.
- A “spiral thigh lift” refers to the tightening of the skin on the backside of the thighs.

Dr. Donaldson and Dr. Sieffert perform this outpatient operation under general anesthesia. They customize the design of the incisions to meet your clothing preferences and personal taste. Lifting the inner thighs requires only short incisions extending from the front part of the thigh/groin crease around to the buttock crease. Lateral or anterior thigh lift can be performed as separate procedures if desired. The buttocks can be lifted with upper or lower scars.
Generally, patients with a BMI under 30 are considered to be candidates for this procedure. Individual candidacy for this procedure will be at the discretion of the surgeon and will be discussed during your consultation.

After your thigh lift surgery, you will have a fitted compression garment that will reduce swelling and assist in the natural shrinking and tightening of the skin. Your comfort is maximized by pain medication that is given before, during and after surgery — and you will go home with prescriptions to control your symptoms.
Bruising and swelling usually subside within a month and strenuous activities are usually possible in 6 weeks. Almost all symptoms are gone in 4 to 6 months.
